HEALTH AND SAFETY
A safe working environment for employees, visitors and contractors is vital to the production of CTruk’s composite high-speed marine craft. We go above and beyond legislative requirements, with safety at the forefront of our construction processes and a vacuum infusion method that virtually eliminates harmful emissions. We empower our employees to take an active role in the maintenance of health and safety by raising concerns at any time and in line with our philosophy of continual improvement, we are also working towards British Standards Institute accreditation for our Health and Safety Management Systems.
We take our environmental responsibilities very seriously. As a major supplier of workboats to the renewable energy sector, sustainability is at the core of our ethos. Where possible, we recruit our workforce locally and we buy from local suppliers, helping to sustain the regional economy and reduce our carbon footprint. Our lighter weight composite craft already use significantly less fuel than comparable vessels – but we are also investing heavily in research to help harness the possibilities of hybrid technology and reduce our dependency on fossil fuels.
At CTruk, we place great emphasis on our processes and procedures – and our ISO 9001 accreditation is valuable proof of that. This mark of excellence is awarded by the British Standards Institute, a globally recognised body with a famously rigorous auditing process. It pays testament to the quality both of our processes and of our products.
